Gypsum is a fantastic addition to pretty much any substrate. Gypsum is a natural pH stabiliser and has many benefits for mushroom growth.
As well as containing calcium which helps the mycelium build strong cell walls, it's also high in sulphur which speeds up the colonisation process.
Gypsum keeps your substrate 'fluffy' and therefore allows the mycelium to breathe properly, all helping to create a great environment for your mushrooms to flourish.
