Our Golden Oyster Mushroom Grain Spawn Bag comprises of a high-yield G1 master culture strain which will give you a large output of high-quality Golden Oyster mushrooms. The spawn is ready to mix with your substrate so you can get straight in and get growing your Golden Oyster mushrooms with no hassle.
You should expect a large mushroom harvest of around 300g+ per kg of substrate within as little as 3 weeks growing time.
Golden Oyster mushroom's have a slightly unusual taste for a mushroom- slightly nutty, some describe it as almost fruity. This sweet flavour along with it's yellow colouring makes it very popular to use in culinary dishes, alongside it's reputation for promoting wellness. They are rich in ergothioneine which is an antioxidant linked to lower risk of heart disease.
When cooked they have a velvety texture and almost melt in your mouth, they are very good roasted or used in stews and curry dishes.
